St Patrick’s Flower Arranging Club

St Patrick’s Flower Arranging Club provides recreational flower arranging classes and workshops at set times, such as Harvest and Christmas. At Harvest time the Club members complete arrangements to decorate the Churches in which they are involved. At Christmas time the members are taught how to prepare table centres and other decorative arrangements to place within their homes. Members also attend flower festivals and other events throughout the Province to enhance the knowledge of floral and plant material available for use in flower arranging. Trips are also organised.

St. Patrick's Flower Arranging Club is delighted to have received funding from the Halifax Foundation NI through its Community Grant Programme. This financial support has provided them with the opportunity to flourish and bring the joy of flower arranging to many people from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with various physical and mental disabilities. This opportunity has made a huge difference to the lives of these people, offering them social interaction, creativity and improving their overall confidence and well-being.

A quote from one of the projects beneficiaries stated “The Flower Club is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I live alone and have made so many new friends, everyone is so friendly and we help each other. I have learnt so much and I can now arrange my own flowers for Church and can make arrangements as gifts. It's great fun.”
