'Our Community in MIND' Programme

The ‘Our Community in MIND’ programme is a new Foundation initiative aimed at registered charities who support Mental Health in Northern Ireland.  The programme is open to charities with an income less than £1million, with a particular focus on Mental Health.  Successful charities will be awarded a £10,000 grant over 12 months.


The overall aim of the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland is to support grassroots charities that enable disabled and disadvantaged people to play a fuller role in society.


The programme is now open for applications and will close at 12.00noon on March 13th 2018.

The Application Process


1. Complete the Application Form

2. Submit Application Form to grants@halifaxfoundationni.org

3. Shortlisting takes place

4. Shortlisted applications may receive an additional telephone call

5. Decisions will be made within 3 months


Terms and Conditions:


·Shortlisted charities will be asked to provide a number of supporting documents including signed accounts, constitution, list of office bearers and minutes of most recent AGM
·Activity must be in line with the charity purpose/objects as outlined in your constitution
·12 month grant, starting with date of Letter of Offer
·Grant must be used for the purpose for which it is intended
·Progress Activity including expenditure will be monitored on a quarterly basis in line with original objectives/budget
