Business as usual as Foundation gets a name change

Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland is the new name for the organisation formerly known as the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland.

Executive Director, Sandara Kelso-Robb said this would not affect the Foundation’s on-going commitment to supporting small and medium sized charities throughout Northern Ireland.

She said: “It is very much business as usual. The name change will not signal any alteration to our supporting the hundreds of vital organisations that make a real difference to disadvantaged or disabled people. In fact just recently the Trustees agreed a new vision for the Foundation which is to contribute significantly to vulnerable communities through grant programmes and support”

Through its grant programmes in 2013 the Foundation released funding of £1.86 million to 565 charities from every corner of Northern Ireland.

Ms Kelso-Robb, Executive Director paid tribute to the incredible work carried out by all of the community-based organisations.

“Through these grants programmes we have provided significant support for the most vulnerable in society making a huge difference in communities throughout Northern Ireland”.

“Under our new name of Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland we will continue to help those people throughout Northern Ireland who are at the forefront of delivering positive change,” she said.

Since it was formed in 1986, the Foundation has contributed almost £29 million to a vast range of projects aimed at supporting those who are disadvantaged or disabled within the community.
