New Chair Of Lloyds Banking Group Appointed

Lloyds Banking Group have appointed a new Chairman of the group.

Robin Budenberg has taken over from Lord Blackwell in the position of Chairman in 2021.

Robin spent 25 years advising UK companies and the UK Government while working for S.G. Warburg/UBS Investment Bank, and was formerly Chief Executive and Chairman of UK Financial Investments (UKFI), managing the Government’s investments in UK banks following the 2008 financial crisis. He was awarded a CBE in 2015 for services to the taxpayer and the economy, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

He said,

“Since the start of the pandemic our four independent charitable Foundations and hundreds of Lloyds Banking Group colleagues have been working together to provide additional support to charities who help the most vulnerable people in our communities.

I have been incredibly humbled by the enthusiasm and dedication I’ve seen from our people, especially during challenging circumstances. They’ve taken our unique and powerful partnership even further and shared their skills to help thousands of charities continue to offer life-changing support. I’m very proud of our commitment to the Foundations and our partnership will continue to be fundamental to our purpose to Help Britain Recover, helping us to tackle social disadvantage and build a more inclusive society.”

We look forward to working with Robin and sharing some of the fantastic work that the charities we support are doing.
