Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland is one of the largest corporate Foundations in Northern Ireland, funded by the profits of Lloyds Banking Group. For over 35 years, the Foundation has been supporting charitable organisations within Northern Ireland to enable people, who are disadvantaged or with additional needs, to participate actively in their communities. In 2021 alone, the Foundation committed almost £1.4 million to support 228 charities, serving the most vulnerable in our communities.
Trustees are crucial in supporting the Foundation to achieve significant impact. We now wish to recruit individuals to join our dynamic Board. As a Trustee, you will have a genuine opportunity to contribute to the debate and discussion that will inform and shape the future direction, whilst observing the legal obligations and responsibilities of trusteeship.
We are specifically encouraging applications (but not exclusively) from individuals who have an HR background.
Trustees serve in a voluntary capacity and are appointed for terms of three years. The Board meets on four occasions per year, with a number of subcommittees in which Trustees are required to participate.
